Installation of Bored Piles with a Protective Silicate Shell of a New Design in Saline Silty-Clayey Soils

Designing advanced methods of corrosion protection and increasing the bearing capacity pile foundations on saline clayey soils is a priority geotechnical task in Kazakhstan. The formation suffusion-resistant waterproof shell was achieved by silicatization borehole before concreting, installation mold into impregnation sodium silicate solution space between soil under pressure. Full-scale static load tests were conducted construction site “Retaining wall Mount Koktobe” Almaty. piles protective exceeded an ordinary 2.5 times average without wetting site, 3.2 after prolonged wetting. numerical model had close relationship experimental curve obtained when conducting six shell.
